CALCULATIONS

HIDCAL allows the system calculation in a tree, loop or grid type, making it possible to obtain the following results:

  • Flow, velocity and unit loss determination for each section of the pipe system, as well as the pressure in each node and the water outlets of the discharge nodes.
  • Determination of the pressure and flow requirements of the systems or its real known discharge, pressure and flow availability at the supply point.
  • Analysis of network fire water distribution. Simulates the operation of water supply pumps, booster pumps, elevated tanks, variable or fixed water outlets, pressure reducing valves and retention valves.
  • Q1.85 graphs required in nodes of entry to the systems and of the availability of pressure and volume in the outlet nodes of the network.

HIDCAL 5 has the following aids:

HIDCAL provides the following aids:

  • Modifiable database for most usual pipes. Possibility of working with the English System or with the International Units System. Generation of security files.
  • Amount of nodes only limited by RAM memory and available disc space. Advanced mobilization on the data entry tables by keyboard and/or mouse.
  • Sections classification and optimization. Three calculation modules and costs estimation of the system.
REQUERIMENTS OF THE PROGRAM

HIDCAL requires the following configuration:

  • Processor type Pentium II, equivalent (AMD K-6, K-6 II, K-7 or Athlon, etc) or more.
  • 32 minimum Mb of ram memory (recommended 64 greater Mb or).
  • 20 Mb of minimum free space in the hard disk for the installation.
  • Monitor Super VGA with a minimum resolution of 800 xs 600 pixels, minimum depth of color of 16 bits or 65,000 colors (necessary).
  • Unit of D-ROM (for the installation). .
  • Windows 95 (OSR-2), 98, Me, NT-4 (Service superior Pack 2 or), 2000 Professional or XP Home or Professional, with Internet Explorer 4,5 or superior installed.
  • An impression port parallel type (LPTx). Optional: A port USB.

HIDCAL could be obtained in CD and comes protected by means of a key of Software. The user will receive a manual of the program with several resolved examples.
